The Silent Call wireless alerting system allows a deaf, deaf/blind, or any other user to be discreetly alerted to the activation of any one of a number of common household devices such as a doorbell, telephone ringer, smoke detector, sound monitor, door or window activity, etc.
Use it whenever you cannot hear the doorbell. No need to miss a visitor because you
were out gardening or could not hear the doorbell or phone.
A typical system consists of one or more transmitters and one or more receivers. There is no limit to the number of receivers and/or transmitters in a system. Transmitters are available that will interface to a doorbell, telephone ringer, smoke detector, fire and/or intrusion alarm panel, sound monitor, door or window activity, etc.
When a transmitter activates, it sends a digitally coded signal to any receivers within range. This signal contains a user selected unique address and a function code such as Fire, Sound, Door, Telephone, etc. Any receiver within range that is set to the same address as the transmitter will activate when it receives the signal. Receivers such as the Good Vibrations, Vibracall, and Sidekick will activate and indicate which function activated them. The Omni Page will activate, but will not indicate which function caused the activation. The functions capable of being displayed by an individual receiver will vary depending on the model.
Convenience: allows you to roam throughout the house and yard. The maximum distance between the transmitter and a receiver is typically 100 feet, but will vary somewhat depending on the location.
